Chelsea Pelsone is the founder and Chief Experience Officer of Somewhere Else — a travel community created for people who want to see more of the world, experience something meaningful, and don’t always have someone to go with.
Through thoughtfully designed group trips and experiences, Chelsea brings together adventure, connection, and a little courage — creating opportunities to step outside your comfort zone and into somewhere new.

My Story
Somewhere Else was born from a chapter of my life I was not expecting.
In my late 20s, I found myself starting over. After a divorce, and a lot of uncertainty about what came next, I knew I needed a change. I no longer had a five-year plan. I just knew I needed to get out of my routine, get outside, and experience something to keep me fully present.
So I started traveling.
What began as a spontaneous trip with a friend during Covid became something much bigger. I rediscovered how much I loved being outside, exploring somewhere new, and giving myself permission to simply be ME. Nature became a place where I could breathe again. Travel gave me new perspective. And somewhere along the way, I started to feel like myself again.That realization became Somewhere Else.

I started the brand in 2023 because I knew I couldn't be the only person who wanted to travel, experience more, and say yes to adventure — but didn't always have someone to do it with.
So I created the kind of trips I wanted to take myself: thoughtfully planned adventures with a small group of people, incredible destinations, plenty of room for spontaneity, and most importantly, a sense of community.

Since then, Somewhere Else has taken us from Zion to Thailand, Acadia to Colombia, Costa Rica to Joshua Tree — and along the way, something pretty incredible happened.
People who started as strangers became friends. Travelers came back for their next adventure. A trip became more than a trip. It became a community.
Now we're continuing to dream bigger. Greece is next in October 2026, followed by Yellowstone in August 2027, where we'll venture Somewhere Out West with Wilderness Trails Outfitters.
But the places are only part of what we're creating.
Somewhere Else is about the person who has been waiting for the right time to take the trip. The person who wants adventure but doesn't want to do it alone. The person navigating a new chapter, craving connection, or simply wanting to feel a little more alive.
It's about giving yourself permission to go.
Because I learned firsthand that sometimes the best thing you can do when life feels uncertain is step outside of what's familiar and see what happens.
You never know what — or who — you might find somewhere else.
